Diet Tech Africa is a data-driven digital platform that provides evidence-based care to Africans living with or at risk of developing Non Communicable Diseases. We encourage a multidisciplinary approach to disease prevention, management, and control by bringing people closer to Registered Dietitians who assess health risks and provide cost-effective, nutrition-focused solutions. This offers a financial return of investment, better life quality, and social advantages too.
To provide data-driven, nutrition-focused solutions that mitigate public health challenges.
To reduce preventable NCDs and premature mortality that result from NCDs in Africa.
To expand access to multidisciplinary, preventive healthcare.
To strengthen the healthcare system in Africa.
OUR CORE VALUES
Dedicated to reducing preventable death, disability, and diseases in Africa through improved nutrition and lifestyle.
Teamwork with other health professionals and community partners, locally and globally, to improve health outcomes.
Accountability for sustainable outcomes. Our team will measure achievements against the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and equity.
To see Africans empowered with skills and education for making healthy food choices and sustainable lifestyle practices that prevent premature mortality caused by NCDs.
S.T.E.P.S to 2030. By 2030 we want to:
Support 1 million Africans to reduce salt and increase flavour in food using culturally acceptable alternatives.
Teach 2 million Africans how to identify trans-fat in foods and avoid its consumption.
Educate 3 million Africans about actions to prevent NCDs (targeting behavioural risk factors; diet and physical activity).
Provide 4 million Africans with access to health risk assessment tools for early detection and response to health threats.
